An Invitation...... The 3rd National conference of Indian Hernia Society (HERNIACON 2010), 1st East Zone conference of society of Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Surgeons of India (SELSICON-EZ 2010) and 15th Annual conference of Association of Surgeons of India, Manipur State chapter (ASIMANICON 2010) will be held on 8th, 9th and 10th October 2010 at Jubilee Hall, Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal, Manipur. It gives us great pleasure in inviting you to attend this triangular scientific extravaganza of the three great organizations. During the conference, there will be a Live operative workshop on Laparoscopic Repair of different types of Hernia such as Direct and Indirect Inguinal Hernia, Incisional Hernia, Fermoral Hernia and Hiatus Hernia. There will be separate "Debate session" on Laparoscopic versus open repair and Mesh Repair versus Suture Repair of Hernia. The workshop will have coverage of different types of surgery in Hepatobility system, conventional Laparoscopic cholecystectomy, Appendectomy, combined Laparoscopic procedures and advanced procedures such as Laparoscopic CBD exploration, Lap excision of choledochal cyst, Hepaticojejunostomy, Laparoscopic management of pseudocysts of pancreas, Lap distal pancreatectomy etc. laparoscopy assisted Transhiatal Esophagectomy, Total Laparoscopic procedures such as Gastrectomy, Gastrojejunostomy, Colectomy, Rectopexy and Stapled Haemorrhoidectorny etc will also be included in the workshop. In the main conference, a special session on "Unedited Videos on Lapaproscopic surgery” will be included so that the delegates and speakers can interact closely the difficult aspects of Laparoscopic surgery which was normally kept concealed. We prepare to include another session on “Complication on Laparoscopic procedures” so that we learn more from the complications we have encountered and enhance our skills to minimize the problems as far as possible. |
